Yo c219!

Take note that the first week of Semester 1.2 Term 2 (i.e. 28th dec 10am to 5th Jan 5pm), will be the selection of CDS for Semester 2.1. It is the same procedure like the previous one.

Do take note that this is on a first come first served basis. So, selectively select your CDS now!! Dont wait last min!! If you do not know what CDS are offered, refer to OLE student heartbeat under Academic Matters: Academic Advisement.

2. CMSK3 Report Draft (Submission to Ms Jenny’s pigeonhole by first week as attendance for the week)

3. iHCI assignment progress (ms peggy may check in week 12)

5. CMaths2 Tutorial (if u want to do beforehand) – Tutorial 7

6. Refer to OLE for e-learning week things to be done (this is for CMATHS; CMSK3; and IHCI)

Do take note that 1st week of Semester 2 Term 2 1st Week starts on 28th Dec (Mon).

Hey ppl!

Please take note of the following:

1. Data Communications and Networking (DCNK) Case Study 1 submission starts next Wednesday lab session (25 Nov) and ends on Monday 30 Nov.

**PLEASE DOWNLOAD the CISCO PACKET TRACER INTO UR LAPTOP/DESKTOP TO DO THE CASE STUDY IF U HAV NT DONE SO. IF NOT, USE THE COMS in the DCNK Lab. take note case study 1 is 5% of the total marks for dcnk!
**For dcnk case study submission, it has to be zipped up and sent to Mr Fernandez to his email THROUGH your TP STUDENT Email (not your own personal emails). Personal emails will not entertained and graded. So, if you want ur marks, dun use personal email =). Anyway, his email can be found on OLE under DCNK Staff information.

2. Information Literacy for effective communication (CMSK3) Report Introduction(10%) submission date is this coming Wednesday 25 Nov during CMSK3 Lesson. **DO NOT ABSENT UNLESS YOU HAVE VALID REASONS! even if u have mc/loa, u will still need to submit ur report introduction by wed. take note!

3. Higher Object-Oriented Programming (HOOP) assignment 1 submission — in 2 weeks time during term test week!
**THERE WILL BE A POST LAB-TEST during submission time.

4. Introduction to Human Computer Interaction (iHCI)
Submission of iHCI assignment 2 PACT Analysis in Week 7 Monday 30 Nov. Take note!!

- Take note the online quiz has been uploaded onto OLE if u do not know. AND it will be graded as part of class participation. Also, take note that the system will automatically shut down the quiz on 29 Nov 2009 2355hours. So, please HURRY and do it fast..

ii) CMSK3 In-Class in text-Citation and end-text citation Test (WEEK 7)
Take note there will be an in-class citation test on Week 7. More info from OLE ?

Hey c219!

As from this semester onwards, due to each and everyone of us have different subjects, i.e. CDS, and many of us will only meet during core subjects. Thus, you will need to print the core subjects’ materials for each week at your own time, own target, and of course your own paper.

However, the materials to be printed will be updated here every week after the materials have been uploaded onto OLE.

AY2009/2010 Oct Sem 1.2 Timetable!! by itc219

Hey all!

Take note that the timetable for AY2009/2010 Oct Sem 1.2 will be uploaded into the TP Student Portal ONE week before school reopens on 19 Oct (Mon).

For your info, you can go to check your timetable from 13 Oct.. ***UPDATE: CHECK TP PORTAL ON 15 OCT (THUR)

E-guide: Go to “www.tp.edu.sg”; click “Student Portal” on top right hand side; login with ur user and pass; and then go to “Timetable”; click on “Semester”.

THIS IS IMPT!! DO NOT FORGET TO CHECK!!

the reason is because in the next semester, not all of us will probably have the same timetable as we have chosen different Cross-Disciplinary Subjects and/or have been allocated different CDSes. So, pls double check for your info and thus you will not b late for lessons on the first day.

For diploma core and tp core subjects, we will still be having as a whole class. For this, will b updated in this blog after the timetable is out!!

MOE & TP BURSARY AY2009/2010 Semester 2 by itc219

Hey C219!!

Take note:

NOTE:
Students are not eligible to apply for this round of bursary if they have or are receiving MOE or TP Bursary or other bursaries or scholarship in AY09/10 Semester 1.

Application Period: 15 Oct – 11 Nov 2009 by 5pm

Students will be matched to one of the 2 bursaries stated below. The matching is according to applicants’ eligibility.

1. MOE Bursary (Quantum $800)

2. TP Bursary (award quantum varies according to the families’ financial circumstances of applicants.)

ELIGIBILITY & SELECTION CRITERIA

1. For needy students who are studying full time subsidised courses in TP.

2. Students’ current semester’s school fees are paid through PSEA, CPF, GIRO/Cash, DBS Tuition Fee Loan Scheme OR Mendaki Tertiary Tuition Fee Subsidy Scheme OR Mendaki Study Loan Scheme.

3. Applicants must NOT be receiving/in receipt of any scholarship/bursary awards/study grant in AY2009/20010.

4. For MOE Bursary Only: Singapore Citizens. Gross monthly household per capita income of $1,200 and below.

5. For TP Bursary Only: Applicants’ family financial factors are key selection criteria for the bursary award.


IMPORTANT NOTES

1. Application forms are available in TP website http://www.tp.edu.sg –> Student Portal –> Click “SWCC” under “Categories” –> Click “detail” under MOE & TP BURSARY AY2009/2010 Semester 2 announcement. Applicants are required to print the forms themselves.

2. Submit the completed application form by hand only to SWCC Staff together with the required documents (see pg 4 of application form) to the following office.
